Luggage Repairs

You've finished your trip and your luggage was damaged.  Now what?

Luggage & Leather may be able to help.  We do not do repairs at our store, but we can suggest where you can send you luggage to be repaired.  Normally we suggest that you send it back to the manufacturer or their authorized service center.  If it's covered by their warranty, they may repair it for free.  But you do need to pay to ship it to them.  We ship UPS or can give you the phone number and address of where to send it yourself.

Know your Warranty

Most luggage carries a warranty against manufacturers defects and not against airline damage or wear and tear.  If your luggage is damaged by the airlines you need to report it immediately to the baggage service center of the airline on which you traveled.   Damage claims should be filed out before leaving the airport.

If you have a complaint about airline damaged luggage write to:

Aviation Consumer Protection Division, U.S. Department of Transportation C-75, 400 7th St., SW, Room 4107, Washington, DC  20590.
